Scary Oozy Slimy Day

EcoReach had the opportunity to attend Scary Oozy Slimy Day, put on by Sandy Creek Nature Center. Scary Oozy Slimy Day is an event for students to learn about nocturnal animals.

EcoReach attended the event with a booth on moths. The moth collection was borrowed from Dr. Jim Porter. Not only are moths nocturnal, but they use the moon, stars and geomagnetic field to navigate during flight.

Check out our "at home" lesson all about moths here! -->
